Nathaniel Bassey: ‘Relocating to Canada does not guarantee success’

Nigerian gospel artiste, Nathaniel Bassey has taken a swipe at citizens of Nigeria who want to migrate to Canada.

According to Nathaniel Bassey, relocating to Canada does not necessarily mean the immigrant will be successful. Taking to the microblogging site, Twitter during the early hours of Wednesday, February 20, the gospel singer admonished Nigerians to be patient and wait on God’s approval before travelling.

Read what Bassey wrote on Twitter.

‘Relocating to Canada doesn’t Guarantee Success.

Being where God would have you be is the secret.

Ur provision is normally tied to ur divine location & placement. And if it’s Canada, Great. But make sure you’re where God wants you to be & not just following the trend. Blessings.’

Then he continued, ‘And let me add that if God says leave Nigeria, staying back here would amount to living outside His will for your life. The key here is being where God would have you be. Even if it’s Iraq.’

Since Nathaniel Bassey shared his tweet on social media, numerous Nigerians have dragged him for his point of view. Some of the commenters argued that Canada is a much better place to raise their offsprings rather than Nigeria, in fact, the singer was dragged into a debate with a female follower.
