Rema performs at NBA All-Star weekend

Budding Nigerian music act, Rema made a guest appearance at the NBA All-star weekend in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, February 16.

Rema performed alongside American rapper, 2 Chainz.

Here is the video.

Rema has been dubbed the leader of the new school generation as he appeared on the cover of Tush magazine.

Born Divine Ikubor, Rema grew up in Nigeria’s bustling Benin City, near the country’s southern coast.

He was forced to mature early on after his father died from asthma-related issues when he was only eight years old. Then, in 2015, his older brother also passed away as well.
He was also forced to go to get a job to help out his mom, who worked as a trader of wholesale goods. “I was lost after losing my brother,” says the youngster.
A couple of weeks ago, it was alleged that Rema kicked the bucket in his apartment. His manager, Sean Okeke has come out to deny the rumour which was likewise published on Wikipedia.

Here is what Okeke said:

“Rema is hale and healthy!

“Pls it’s all false.

What really happened was that some hacker hacked into his Wikipedia page, and changed his date of birth and then added a death date Feb 1 2020. But our digital officer has reversed it.

“Death is not something one can hide! He is hale and healthy, he is fine.

We don’t want to blow this out of proportion” he added.
