Rita Dominic: Flaunting wealth on social media highly unnecessary

Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has stated that it is not a necessity to flaunt cash on social media.

The award-winning actress made this known via her Instagram stories on Wednesday 19, 2020. According to her, a lot of people believe social media has become the yardstick to measure wealth.

“So social media has become the yardstick to measure wealth? Lol. Some people think because you don’t post certain things like designer labels, holidays, how much you have, etc on your means you are not balling? Wow. Poverty mentality much? Happiness or balling in your word means different things to different people. This life isn’t that serious, be happy you are alive and healthy first and foremost #Selah,” she wrote.

Rita Dominic is stunned at the yardstick used in measuring wealth on social media by some people.

As a matter of fact, Rita Dominic has remained of the most modest Nigerian celebrities. The Nollywood star actress leads a scandal-free, commendable lifestyle that has kept her admired by many.

Indeed, Rita Dominic is a role model.

A couple of days ago, Rita Dominic’s colleague, Tonto Dikeh shared a similar perspective. According to the Nollywood actress, it is not advisable to believe in what celebrities flaunt on social media.

“Even the flashy cars and houses and phones you see with rich people, they plan and save towards it. They won’t tell you, all you know is that they just got a house. Go and ask them how long it took to save up, and the sacrifices they made to gather up the finances. See, it’s never really too rosy for people as it seems on social media. Just keep working hard. Save for important things. Save to spoil yourself. ❤️,” she wrote.
